AI Policy

1. How We Use AI

prjct/gig uses artificial intelligence to help freelancers generate professional proposals quickly. Our AI features include:

  • Proposal Generation: Converting client messages into structured, professional proposals
  • Scope Extraction: Identifying deliverables, timelines, and requirements from client communications
  • Pricing Suggestions: Recommending pricing based on scope and market rates
  • Client Profiling: Extracting client information from messages to auto-populate fields

2. AI Provider

We use OpenAI's API (GPT models) to power our AI features. When you use AI features in prjct/gig:

  • Your input is sent to OpenAI's servers for processing
  • OpenAI processes the request and returns generated content
  • We store the generated content in your account

3. What Data is Sent to AI

When you generate a proposal, we send:

  • The client message you paste into the system
  • Your business context (if provided)
  • Relevant gig parameters you've set

We do NOT send:

  • Your email address or personal account details
  • Your payment information
  • Other clients' data
  • Your complete proposal history

4. Data Training & Privacy

We do NOT use your data to train AI models.

According to OpenAI's API data usage policy, data submitted through their API is not used to train their models. Your client messages and proposals remain private.

We implement data minimization principles — only sending the minimum necessary information to generate your proposal.

5. AI Limitations

It's important to understand that AI-generated content:

  • May contain errors: AI can misinterpret requirements or make incorrect assumptions
  • Requires review: Always review and edit proposals before sending to clients
  • Is not legal/financial advice: Generated pricing and terms are suggestions, not professional advice
  • May not match your style: Customize the output to match your voice and brand

6. Your Responsibility

As a user of prjct/gig, you are responsible for:

  • Reviewing all AI-generated content before using it
  • Ensuring proposals accurately reflect what you can deliver
  • Verifying pricing is appropriate for your services
  • Not using AI features to generate misleading or fraudulent proposals
  • Complying with your jurisdiction's laws regarding AI-generated content

7. Opting Out

AI features are core to prjct/gig's functionality. If you prefer not to use AI-generated content, you can manually create proposals without using the generation feature. However, the AI proposal generation is the primary value proposition of the service.

8. Updates to This Policy

As AI technology evolves, we may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
